So I read Poisoned Apple and found myself instantly transported back to a time when birthdays were really exciting. What was remarkable was how easy it was to remember how it was for me back then and how it is now. There isn’t much of a difference between the two states of mind. When I read it the second time I was convinced that where you took me hasn’t changed much. It is still a place-a real place that I live in every day. When I look around at my surroundings-when I walk on certain streets and witness others going about their business each day I’m still reminded of how beautifully scrambled the real world is. There is not much difference between what is real and what is fantasy. The only difference is how I formulate my perception of what I see and what it means. Often that changes on any given day depending on what was going on for me at the time. I’m not sure any of that makes sense to you but believe it or not it has clarified something for me–Enjoy–JIm

Yes. I actually just sat here and watched “Steel Magnolias.” I saw it years ago, of course, but it was on the tube today so I let it play to keep me company. I found myself tearing up and choking back emotion, just as I did the first time, but in different parts. Why? Because I’m not the same person I was years ago. My thoughts, memories, experiences…life…are different now. It changes how we perceive and react to things. Your comment makes a lot of sense to me.
Glad you stopped by Jim, and that I was able to crank your wheels a little bit!
