Three heart-melting children call me Mommy. “Mommy.” Alright, I’ll be honest. We moved past that sleepy headline some time ago and hit the fast lane with “Mom.” Yes, I am a Mother, a housewife, and some would (be paid to) say, a make-up marvel.
Between raising kids and pretending I can cook, I’ve been painting the faces of grads, brides, T.V. personalities and models for fifteen years and dreaming of publishing a novel for almost twice as long. Finally scrapping the doodle books and crayons that have enslaved (but not swallowed) me, I’ve put pen to paper, or fingertips to keys as the case may be, and snatched back a big piece of what’s been missing.
Writing.
What words will tumble out onto these pages? Who knows? Certainly not I! Thus my Blog name; Hazy Shades of Me. (emphasis on the hazy) Fiction, non-fiction, reality and dreams. Hopefully, despite the fog, there will be moments of clarity and I will be able to peek…peak and…most crucially, pique through the haze.
